The Dubbo Regional Council has granted development approval (consent) for the much anticipated ‘Lakeview Estate’. The approval provides for a secure gated residential community development located upon the existing landscaped lakes system with its own shared pool, clubhouse and barbeque area. All common areas will be manicured and paved to ensure the high quality landscaped setting of the Lakeview and the greater Southlakes Estate and their residents are maintained and respected.
The General Manager of Maas Group Properties, Mr. Steve Guy, confirmed that development approval has been given by Dubbo Regional Council on the 3rd of February 2017 for this exciting project of MAAS Group Properties and for The City of Dubbo.
Mr. Guy said, “Whilst Council had always given general support to the project, the development is large and there are many matters to consider and therefore
boxes to tick before approval could be granted. This is a multi-million-dollar project for Dubbo which covers everything from site infrastructure and
services to the colour of fencing, roofs and the detail of landscaped areas.”
Mr. Guy confirmed that in readiness for construction the site will now be fenced and made ready for construction to commence in the coming weeks with the first elements of construction being the installation of all essential services to each allotment so they can be registered and dwellings can be built shortly thereafter. Mr. Guy said “we continue to work with Council and other relevant consultants to make sure the services provided are built and installed to meet current standards.”
‘Lakeview’ provides for 73 homes within a secure gated estate. Mr. Guy confirmed the construction of these dwellings will be undertaken in stages and he anticipates the first homes to be occupied in September of this year and the development to be completed by mid-2018.
The Sales Team of Maas Group Properties, Bill Kelly, Maree Egan and Brenda Stevenson have considered many alternative options within Dubbo during the design phase of ‘Lakeview’ and believe this estate has some key points of difference which is its setting and future character being part of a community with modern facilities, pool and recreational areas whilst still having reasonable size private courtyards for individual entertaining, gardening, and other daily activities.
